Client - La boite à grains
Context: Inventory data lookups
Initial Scope
The health food store of the Gatineau region called "La boite à grains" commissioned JAMESWDH to offer training classes to the marketing team.
JamesWDH instructors met with the staff every week for a 3 hour class and at the same time helped produce a tool to efficiently manage the publisac information.
The time saved 2 full days of weekly work to a staff member and now is still used by the store 2 years later to manage their publisac.
It gives us great pride to work with a team of people and be able to offer transformative tools for their business! Book us now to save time in your own business
Educational all around
It was nice to work for a health food store and be able to deliver such great results with so little time for a medium to large size business. I've appreciated every moment of this contract!
For as little as 60 hours of work and training split over 2 years, we have helped them improve efficiency and productivity by saving them the work of doing numerous IT data repetitive tasks. Introducing things like PowerPivot to their infrastructure has opened a new world of output customisation.

Project Notes
As the classes were going week by week, the instructor decided that it would be a good decision to transform the class into a project to build a file which would have all of the wanted feature to in 10 seconds produce what used to be 2 days of work.
The file would be able to import the data from the Inventory manager,
Create easy to use dropdowns and information input techniques to ease and quicken the process of allocating the appropriate Client, Sale amount, position in Publisac, price of add location, accounting code and much more.
Once all the information would be input in the main table, various outputs would be produced for the different teams. The Packers, the managers, the accountant and the designers would all receive a different and equally efficient report!
Update:
In the fall and winter of 2018, JamesWDH was commissioned to do even more training for this client!
We updated the file from 2015 to a more modern version and we built a transfer file for their Inventory Database to the Shopify Database. Saving them a day of work every 4 weeks to update the online sales website.
